MOOSEHEAD STUDIOS:
Moosehead Studios was created in 1999 by Daniel Skubal. Starting only with a few friends, a video camera and a dream, the studio has grown since then. The involvement of Cody Carter, Devin Lockrey, Daniel Skubal, Chris Voelz and many others have allowed Moosehead Studios to grow into what it is today. We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg, though.

DANIEL SKUBAL: Director/Cinematographer

Daniel Skubal was born June 27^th, 1986 in Rockford, Illinois. In 1995, Daniel moved to West Lafayette, Indiana where he currently resides. Since the age of 5, Daniel has made movies in his backyard for his own enjoyment. It wasn’t until 2000 that he considered it to be more than a hobby. Taking a communication class in his high school, he was inspired to pursue his interests. During this time, Daniel made countless short films and participated in an in-school news broadcast. This served as a crash course in cinematography, editing, and graphic design. In the fall of 2004, Daniel purchased a basic set of prosumer camera equipment including a Panasonic AG-DVX100a and sound equipment. He was finally able to achieve the quality of film he was after, and inspired him to move further. Daniel is now a junior at Purdue University, double majoring in Film Studies and Communication. In the Fall of 2005, Daniel taught himself 3D modeling, special effects, and scoring. In the spring of 2006, Daniel and his partners of Moosehead Studios won the Purdue University DLC Cinema contest. Heads immediately began to turn. In the summer of 2006, Daniel taught himself motion graphics and sound engineering. His newly acquired skills have helped develop his abilities as a filmmaker even more. Daniel plans to move out west after graduation and pursue a career in film production.

CHRIS VOELZ: Producer

Chris Voelz was born December 23, 1986 in Lafayette, Indiana. Chris & Daniel Skubal met one another in middle school. It wasn't until they both were in high school that their interests in filmmaking grew. Both Chris & Daniel were apart of a video production class within the school's communication department. For the next 6 years, Chris & Daniel would create countless short films which served as a great learning experience for Chris. In the summer of 2005, Chris took on the role of Producer with Moosehead Studios' film, Regenisis. Chris was able to quickly find nearly 100 cast and crew members for the rough 10-day shooting schedule, which permanently locked down Chris's newly-appointed Producer position. Chris is always enthusiastic about Moosehead Studios' projects and motivates the cast and crew to work 110% on everything they do.

DEVIN LOCKREY: Writer

Devin Lockrey was born January 13, 1985 in Michigan. Devin met Daniel in high school, but did not start collaborating on projects for another 4 years. The two began writing their first scripts together in September of 2004. Since then, Devin and Daniel have written several scripts and have come up with countless lists of ideas. In the Spring of 2006, Devin, Daniel and Chris co-wrote the comic-style short film, Apollo: The Legacy of Hayden. Devin’s ideas, dedication and enthusiasm make him a valuable member of the Moosehead Studios team.
