The Chase was made in the winter of 2004 to test out some camera equipment. It was made on a very, very cold December afternoon, on-the-fly, with no script. This short test film, stars Ted Arthur and Mallory Waters. This was Mallory’s debut on screen. The entire film was shot on the streets of downtown Lafayette. The music is by Justin R. Durban.

Over Spring Break, a few us from the Moosehead Studios crew went to Turkey Run State Park for the day. Daniel Skubal brought along his camera and we made this short vignette. It was really the first tolerably warm day this year, and we were fortunate for such good weather. Aside from the weather, we had some exposure issues because the sun kept coming out and then going away, so a lot of our shots were ruined by the sun coming or going. Overall though, we’re pleased with the results and hope you enjoy them too. Below are a few screen grabs from the trip, for those of you that are interested.

^{___________________________________________________________}In the summer of 2005, Regenisis was written and filmed in the Lafayette area. Shooting in 9 different locations over 10 different days, the production lasted an entire month. Having over 100 cast and crew members were involved in this project; it was the largest in-house production that Moosehead Studios has made. This film almost never saw the light of day due to a hard drive crash; luckily a copy was able to be obtained of an older version of the edit. The project was a great learning experience for everyone. If we were to shoot it again, there are many things we would do differently but we’re pleased with the end result. The film was created for a film festival at DVXuser.com. Our late submission left us disqualified and slightly disappointed due to the amount of work we all put into it, and the amount of strings that had to be pulled to make it happen; but it has since been entered into 2 other film festivals.
